We are visual creatures. Seeing is believing: design is inherent in everything. Design holds the potential to turn complex problems into simple solutions. So, combining graphical representations with a sense of order is a captivating pursuit.

If I sense some inertia under the surface of a static visual creation, I'll try and let it out by animating it. Here are some key pieces of recent work.

Development of the ICAT Actor Base logo - designed with a militaristic, target hitting style, as the client wanted to capture the essence of his goal-focussed actor training business.
Logos are everywhere. The best ones have character and convey a set of messages with power and precision. The worst ones confuse and fail to inspire a sense of anything at all.

The poster (a word derived from affixing ‘a paper notice, advertisement, etc. to a post’) has always been a format I’ve aspired to do justice to.

This developed an understanding of what a good visual aid not only looks like but how it should function as a key part of the storytelling exercise.

Reports are just boring summaries that nobody really reads very carefully, if at all. Another take - a well constructed and vibrant document can be a powerful tool to inform and influence.
